What is PO Financing?
Every day governments are issuing POs for government-based entities and industries such as Healthcare, Defense, Construction Sector. And the amount of POs is staggering. In Saudi Arabia, the government issued 738,610 POs worth over SAR 664 billion until the end of Q3 2021. Resellers need to pay for the goods from multinational manufactures based on the POs while waiting for the government to pay at maturity. The difference in terms is creating cash flow challenges for resellers, especially SMEs to finance their working capital. This is where Tameed comes in. Based on its innovative platform and funding assessment, Tameed offers PO financing to SME resellers. Because the POs are backed by the government, financing tends to me at attractive terms leveraging crowd-funding from institutional and individual investors.
